Catch the Phish: An AI Capture the Flag Event
CAMI
High school students and undergraduates are invited to join the Universities at Shady Grove, MITRE and the Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc. for a state-wide cyber challenge! During this 4-hour challenge, participants will access data in Jupyter Notebooks, an open-source web application; classify data as malicious or benign, and visualize those results. In addition to working with Python, pandas, and matplotlib, participants will leverage some common sense (e.g., catching a suspicious URL). When finished, you will be able to export the results to your own system. FAQ What skill level do I need to participate? At a minimum, participants will need to be able to read Python and have some working knowledge of how to write in it. Participants at all skill levels will leave with stronger skills and understanding of the cyber domain. What do I need to bring to participate? You will need to provide a laptop that can run a Chrome browser. Note: The day itself will last 7 hours, and this challenge is expected to take 4 hours. Please bring a laptop charger. Is there a way for me to continue using the platform after the event?Yes! Your scores will be retained in the Generation AI Nexus so that you can participate in subsequent events if you choose. This way, you can continue to build skills on your own time. How can my company get involved? If your company would like to be showcased above others at this event, sponsorship opportunities are available. Click here for more information. We are also seeking Cyber Challenge coaches for this event. If you are interested, please email [email protected]
